My recent relocation to Cardiff has meant much of my time and energy being absorbed into what many say is one of the most stressful occasions in ones life !
It seems a little far fetched as there are so many more social and political situations happening across the seas right now that would certainly create far more warranted stressful situations. Besides I have moved in with my lovely lady and set up office in her front room so I don’t have much to complain about right ! Regardless, I haven’t been as proactive on my blog here but rather entering into agreements with Google and Yell regarding advertising in my new city..
However before I left the Midlands (where I still cover and have existing bookings) I was asked to create some portraits of Jo and her two boys Bert and Henry.
Jo had just one prerequisite , not to be presented with images of her boys with false or plastic smiles; the style of portrait the children’s school had previously churned out which now filled the living rooms of many potential disappointed parents..
With the British summer treating us the way it has and the 9 and 5 year old needing very little encouragement to get to the local park and play football, I didn’t think we would have much of a problem creating some big smiles 🙂
Things started great from the beginning and I suppose my reason for this post over other portraits shoots is that this was my last as a resident of Worcester and extremely enjoyable because the boys were so engaging and uninhibited !
A little direction was all that was occasionally needed to create some lovely photographs for Jo to send and share with all the family.. and that golden light that decided to amp up as the sun set was just delicious..
with the afternoons activity drawing to a close and energy levels depleting, I was still able to capture some magic moments..
If you have any enquiries regarding a portrait shoot of you, your children or any family members and would like to try something out of the studio where the air is clear and skies are blue, please don’t hesitate to get in touch ! I would love to hear from you.
